Klokkast
From a young age, I was always surrounded by my father's designs. One of my fondest memories is of a room divider with shelves that he created for a gallery in the late 1980s. As we sifted through my father's designs while starting KOKKE House, we came across a photo of me with him beneath the Klokkast. We knew we had to recreate it, and our suite provided the perfect opportunity to bring it back to life.

KLOKKAST
Klokkast cupboard - 1993
‘There was a time when the ‘room and suite’ style in grand townhouses was considered old-fashioned and was removed. A gallery where I exhibited had such a large, long space. I re- introduced the separation with this clock shape. The stacked shelves with a slender steel structure divide the space while keeping it intact. And you can display all your beautiful art and
books on it.’
Sofa 'To Live In'
1992
‘My first commission came from Marten Hendriks, an artist and my former teacher. The design focused on material purity, cre- ating a place for him, his wife, and their dog. I wrapped wool blankets around a rectangular oak frame, pushed back any ex- cess wool, secured it with a slat, and stitched a velour cover in
place with large stitches.’
Petra Hartman
Petra Hartman is well-known for her paintings featuring explosions of color- ful flowers and figures, as well as her unique Baroque-inspired jewelry and often oversized handbags. Her work has a loose, dynamic touch, reflecting her spontaneous creativity and con- ceptual approach. Her artistic jewelry is sometimes controversial, vibrant, and eccentric. Pieces of her work are included in the collections of the Rijks- museum and the Stedelijk Museum.
TC Lamp
The lamp's shade is made from 1mm thin birch plywood, known for its strength and beautiful grain patterns. The aluminium base provides stability and a contemporary touch.

‘It took five years to perfect and complete the series of slat chairs. For each model, I created multiple prototypes, making small adjustments each time. This in depth, meticulous design process laid the foundation for the rest of my career.’

Shelve - 1990
‘I designed this shelf for a long, narrow corridor in a gallery. Dis- played objects look beautiful on the folded sheet and matte grey steel. The shelf curves out to- wards you when opened.’
